About Nicole

Why does my dog bark at the mailman or chew on my shoes instead of the expensive toys purchased just for the dog? What does it mean when a dog suddenly sniffs the ground when a child enters the room or has a mysterious itch when you ask it for a known behavior?  I believe when we understand the why behind our dog's behavior, we can adjust our behavior to communicate more effectively with our dog.  When we communicate effectively with our dog, peace can be found in our home.

Generally speaking, when behavior is being reinforced, it will be repeated.  Dogs are complex yet simple animals.  Dealing with behavior "problems" means first understanding what is reinforcing your canine.  Chances are the human owner is contributing to the "problem" by inadvertently reinforcing it!

Nicole works with you and your family to prevent and correct behavior problems. She feels strongly in the power of being proactive.  Prevention of future problems, elimination of current problems, and providing enrichment for your dog are Nicole's specialties!
